MMO and PAM contract win for MES
Marine Environmental Solutions Limited (MES) has been awarded a contract from an unnamed client to provide Marine Mammal Observation (MMO), and Passive Acoustic Monitoring (PAM) personnel and equipment.
The period of services runs from 19thJuly 2019 until operations are complete, with the date of completion to be confirmed.
Looking forward to a successful partnership
MMO and PAM personnel and equipment are deployed on-board client vessels to keep a watch for any marine mammals entering an area of operations. Personnel are required to accurately record their range and movements in accordance with JNCC guidelines.

Underwater noise is a common side-effect of offshore energy industry activities. Noise produced during oil and gas, offshore wind, subsea cabling, and decommissioning operations can negatively impact marine mammals.
In a move precipitated by the continued success of its environmental division, SFF Services Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Scottish Fishermen’s Federation, has transferred provision of these services to Marine Environmental Solutions (MES).
